Dr Amir Ali completed his MBBS and MS General Surgery from Goa, India. After that he obtained his MCh in Urology from Bangalore and DNB in Urology from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi – India. He has been awarded the prestigious FRCS Urology by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is on permanent register of General Medical council, UK. Dr Amir has also been awarded with a highly coveted, post-CCT fellowship in Robotic Uro- Oncology from the University hospital of Cardiff, Wales, UK.
Prior coming to the UAE, Dr Amir Ali worked as an Assistant Professor in the renowned Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre, Gujarat, which is the India's leading center in renal transplantation and treatment of kidney stones. He has also worked as a Consultant Urologist in Aster Prime Hospital, Hyderabad and Maxcare Hospital, Warangal.
Dr Amir has worked as a Consultant Urologist, from 2018 until 2021 at NMC speciality hospital Abu Dhabi. During this time, he had a very thriving and busy urological practice. He pioneered the start of supine PCNL’s and retro-peritoneal laparoscopic surgeries. Dr Amir is credited to have performed the first retro peritoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy in the UAE.
Dr Amir then moved to the UK and upgraded himself to a robotic surgeon. He has received formal training on the latest Da Vinci Robotic Surgical system and has been involved in more than 250 robotic prostatectomies, partial nephrectomies and cystectomies. He has worked in the NHS along with some of the best urologists in the UK.
